Core
values
IFO embraces the core principles which the Institute of Forensic Auditors has issued in the form of a code of conduct for Registered Forensic Auditors. A significant number of the IFO partners are chartered accountants (CA). Hence, INSTIFIN also embraces the core principles issued by the Royal Dutch Institute for Chartered Accountants (Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut van Registeraccountants - Koninklijke NIVRA) in a new code of conduct for chartered accountants:
These principles are also observed by the IFO partners who don’t have a chartered-accountant background. Thanks to its organizational form and the focus of its special-services package, IFO can, unlike other accounting organizations, concentrate more on the principle of objectivity cum independence. Objectivity and independence To protect its untarnished image of complete objectivity amongst potential clients, IFO increases its independence and credibility by declining to provide certain services (cf. Organization/ Service Constraints) (cf. below). In doing so, they avoid being tied in to long-term contractual relationships with market parties. In some fields of specific expertise - among which computer forensics and private detectives’ activities - IFO has concluded collaboration agreements with first class professional organizations. |
